when to start drafting financial consent order

I can apply for conditional order on 20th September.
I understand I need to wait for the certificate before I can submit the financial consent order but I want to have everything ready in place so there is no hold up.

Question1. how long from applying for conditional order to receipt of certificate?

Question 2. how soon would you appoint a solicitor and start the process of drafting the financial order?

Typically it is less than a week before the conditional order is granted although if you do mean 'receipt' in the sense of bein in your hands that depends upon how long it takes the court staff to type it up and for Royal Mail to deliver it. If these things are done online the latter two sources of delay don't really enter into it.

As soon as you and your spouse are agreed upon the terms of settlement. I am assuming that you are agreed.

I have been advised we can't enter the financial consent order until the Conditional order (first part of divorce) is confirmed. I can't apply online for this until 17th September and some people have said it will then take 6 weeks for it to be confirmed, would this be correct?

As soon as you and your spouse are agreed upon the terms of settlement. I am assuming that you are agreed.

We have agreed everything but when I contacted a solicitor they said they wouldn't draft the financial consent order until I have applied for the Conditional order,

Unless they have some convincing reason for that advice you may wish to consider instructing a different solicitor.
