Hello David, Divorced with sealed consent order. FMH to be sold under consent order. FMH has been on market for over a year & sold twice but buyers dropped out, nothing to do with our actions. New sale agreed 2 wks ago, I agreed the sale (even though it was under the figure stipulated in the consent order). On the basis I need to find a property to purchase, which our buyer agrees with. Thank you so much for the advice Davidby Chevette - UK Divorce Forum
Thanks David, Consent order makes no mention of Lodgers & renting whatsoever, it seems straight forward to me. it says both parties have to pay all the bills 50/50 and the house shall go on sale for 8 weeks with the first court appointed estate agent, if it doesn't sell it then goes on sale with the other court appointed estate agents. The house shall not be sold for less than ££££by Chevette - UK Divorce Forum
Thanks so much David. Do you know if the Ex is entitled to bring in a lodger against the co-owners (my) wishes? I have googled it but cannot find an answer anywhere.by Chevette - UK Divorce Forum

I want to raise awareness of a bill going through the House of Lords to amend the outdated law on divorce financial settlements, sponsored by top divorce lawyer Baroness Shackelton. If you too believe the existing law is unfair, I suggest that you take a look at this bill and contact your local mp to request they support it.
