Hi all,
my ex husband and I are recently divorced. I have been living seperately from him now for over a year, while he remains in the property we lived in together.
The final court hearings regarding finances stated that the property would be sold and the money from the sale would be split as per stated in the order.
The current issue is that ex is using the covid - 19 pandemic as an excuse to delay the sale. He is an oppourtunitist and this has all worked out very conviniently for him as he clearly wishes to delay the sale for as long as humanly possible - although it would be in his best interest, too, to get it all over and done with. He will not let estate agents in to value the property, take photos etc., and states he has a fever and cough and that no one can enter. This has been going on since early March. My concern is that this could potentially go on indefinately. He has the perfect excuse now to never let anyone near the flat, and although people will soon catch onto his games, there is really very little anyone can do about it...as far as i can see, that is.
Does anyone have any suggestions as a way to overcome this situation?
